Today I was on an ICT in Art course at the CLC. We looked at lots of different ways that ICT can be used in Art. One of the activities we carried out was creating animations using clay models and stop frame animation. (I took 3R to the CLC a month or so back to create fairy tale animations - I am hoping to post them on the blog when I get them back). I love creating animations. I get lost in my own little world of creativity and when I add sound or music to them I get so excited!
This is what I created today, it's not Chicken Run, but I only had 20 minutes to make it! Make sure that the volume is turned on because it has sound.

Are you aware that movies like Wallace and Gromit are made using stop frame animation? Aardman Animations, the company responsible for creating 'Wallace and Gromit' have a wonderful website that gives lots of information about what they do. Take a look at this video clip, it shows a little of what went on behind the scenes during the making of 'Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Wererabbit' - very inspiring!
The website is amazing, I love the typeface and the illustrations.
